To drop a fruit in Sailor Piece, click the fruit in your hotbar so your character is holding it, then press Backspace on PC; on mobile, tap the held fruit and choose Drop instead of Eat. The fruit falls on the ground in front of you, and you can grab it again if you change your mind.
How to drop a fruit by platform
The game’s official Roblox page lists PC, mobile and console support, but the drop control is only documented for PC and mobile.

On PC, the fruit icon in the hotbar should be highlighted before you press Backspace. That highlight means your character is actually holding it, the same way you’d equip a sword. Backspace only works on fruit items. It won’t drop swords or other tools, and once you’ve eaten a fruit its power can’t be dropped at all.
If you play with a controller, the safest fallback is the reset trick described below, since nobody has documented a console drop button yet.
Where unwanted fruits come from
Most players drop fruits after rolling at the dealers on Sailor Island. The Gem Fruit Dealer gives a random fruit for 50 Gems (hold E to interact), and the Coin Fruit Dealer does the same for Coins. Each roll lands in your hotbar, so a few bad rolls quickly clutter it. Dropping the duds keeps your slots free for the fruit you actually want to eat.
How to drop a stored fruit
Sailor Piece has a fruit Storage, opened from your inventory or from the Storage Keeper NPC on Sailor Island and World Island Sea 2. To store a fruit, hold it and press Store. Your first fruit slot is free; the second costs 1,000 Gems according to the community wiki.
No guide shows a drop option inside the Storage menu. Since dropping needs the fruit in your hand, you’ll most likely have to take a stored fruit back out to your hotbar first, then drop it as normal. This is unconfirmed, so check the Storage screen in your own game.
Why can’t I drop my fruit?
You aren’t holding it
Clicking the fruit once isn’t always enough. Make sure the slot is highlighted and the fruit is visibly in your character’s hand before pressing Backspace or tapping it.
You already ate it
An eaten fruit becomes an ability, not an item. There’s nothing left to drop, so roll and drop the duds before you eat anything.
It’s sitting in Storage
Stored fruits aren’t in your hotbar, so Backspace has nothing to drop. Take it out of Storage first.
Your fruit vanished after a reset
Several tutorials show that resetting your character (or rejoining) wipes every fruit that isn’t stored, and two of them present it as a quick way to clear out junk rolls. If you want to keep one, store it before you reset.
Note: All drop guides we found date from April to June 2026, and the game was updated as recently as 17 October 2026. If Backspace stops working after a patch, re-check the hotbar highlight first, then look for a newer guide.
Can you give a fruit to a friend?
Beebom (June 2026) says dropping is also how you give a fruit away: other players can pick up your dropped fruit, and a notice in the bottom-left corner announces it. The same guide says Sailor Piece has no trading system. Both points come from one source, so treat them as unconfirmed. Stand right next to your friend before you drop, because the fruit won’t stay on the ground for long.
Do dropped fruits despawn?
Yes, but sources disagree on how fast. IGN (April 2026) says a dropped fruit disappears after a few minutes. Beebom (June 2026) puts it at 30 seconds, with a warning in the final 10 seconds. Assume the shorter time if you plan to pick it back up or hand it to someone.
